about

The name is irrelevant.

I gave this song to the band and told them to do what they wanted with it. This is the fall out.

It was written from a story I was attempting to write - but never quite managed to form into something coherent and complete. So I turned it into a song instead. It was based in a dystopian future where most people have become addicted to a new type of drug that mimics how the brain releases oxytocin; a chemical the brain releases when one is in love. So human connection and intimacy and relationships were all very much falling by the wayside and replaced by the drug instead. The story was vaguely named 'Oxytocin.' But that didn't seem to suit this. And it certainly isn't about elephants so logic follows...

lyrics

I was running down this corridor
She whispered after me
Pop this pill
Why not fall in love with all you see?
Take these drops
Let it all just fade away

Don't mind the shakes the
Incontinence is passing
Hold on tight through the dizzy spell
Don't mind the shakes the
Incontinence is passing
Pure relief will hit you soon

Throw the resentment under the rug
Dilating pupils and love blooms forth
All the world from grey to colour
The magic cure

I was running down this corridor
She whispered after me
Pop this pill
Why not fall in love with all you see?
Take these drops
Let it all just fade away

Don't mind the shakes the
Incontinence is passing
Hold on tight through the dizzy spell
Don't mind the shakes the
Incontinence is passing
Pure relief will hit you soon
